From a founder we worked with
As a non-technical founder, I was explicit that I needed a partner who would think deeply about outcomes rather than just execute instructions — and that's exactly what they delivered. They understood the challenges instinctively, made decisions independently that were entirely consistent with what I was trying to achieve, and took enormous friction out of the process. The result exceeded expectations.

Most software projects die before anyone uses them.
Not because the idea was wrong. Because of how the build was resourced:
- Hiring in-house costs £120k+ a year before anyone writes a line.
- Freelancers disappear mid-project and leave code nobody can read.
- Agencies bill for process, then hand you something you cannot change.
- Nobody owns the product decisions, so scope drifts until the budget is gone.
- The build takes nine months and the market has already moved.
- There is no plan for what happens after launch.
You need a small senior team that takes responsibility for the outcome, not just the tickets.
We become your product engineering team.
We work alongside you to design, build and launch production-ready software — then stay available for whatever comes next.
We build and operate our own products, so we think about the things a contractor does not: whether anyone actually uses it, whether it holds up as it grows, and whether it is still worth something in a year.

- One person can make decisions without a committee
- You want a partner who pushes back on bad ideas
- Budget is £8,000 or more
Not for you if
- You need the cheapest possible quote
- You want a fixed spec built without discussion
- You are running a six-agency procurement process
- You need bodies to add to an existing team
How it runs
Short, direct, and you talk to the people building it. There is no account manager between you and the work.
-
Scope
One workshop, then a written brief: what we are building, what we are not, the architecture, and a fixed price against a fixed scope.
-
Design
Interface and flows designed before code, so you can change your mind cheaply. You see screens in week one.
-
Build
Two-week cycles with a working demo at the end of each. You steer as it takes shape rather than waiting for a reveal.
-
Launch and beyond
Deployment, testing and handover of everything — code, infrastructure, accounts. We stay on for changes if you want us, on a monthly rolling basis.
Questions
What does a product actually cost?
Most first builds land between £8,000 and £35,000. A focused MVP with one core workflow and auth starts around £8,000. A multi-role SaaS platform with billing, dashboards and integrations is typically £20,000 to £45,000. We quote a fixed price against a fixed scope after the scoping workshop, so the number does not move unless you change the scope.
How long does it take?
Four to twelve weeks from scoping to launch for most products. We ship working software every two weeks, so you see real progress continuously rather than waiting months for a single reveal.
Who owns the code and the IP?
You do, entirely. Everything we write is yours from day one: repositories, infrastructure, accounts, designs. You can take it in-house, hand it to another team, or keep working with us. There is no lock-in and no licence.
Who is actually writing the code?
Senior engineers who also build and run our own products — Alias, Iqra and SoraBlock. There are no junior developers on your project and no offshore subcontracting. You talk directly to the people building it, not an account manager.
What if the scope changes halfway through?
It usually does, because you learn things as the product becomes real. Small changes get absorbed into the cycle. Anything that materially moves the scope gets re-quoted before we start it, so you are never surprised by an invoice.
Can you take over an existing codebase?
Yes. We can rebuild legacy systems, add to an existing product, or untangle code that has become expensive to change. We start with a paid audit — usually a few days — and then tell you honestly whether rebuilding or refactoring is the cheaper path.
Do you work with non-technical founders?
Most of our clients are non-technical. It means we take more responsibility for product decisions, not less: we will tell you when something you have asked for is a bad idea, and why.
